I maintain that you can find corners of brilliance anywhere, if you take the time to look for them. I aim to be happy, no matter the surroundings. I believe that anything (even the small, overlooked, mundane, daily activities...and maybe especially those sorts of things) can be an ADVENTURE if you have the right attitude. Of course, matching t-shirts also always help endeavor. And yes, if I get to wear an outfit, I really will be more apt to do something...I enjoy outfits.

More wisdom from Mona

"It's how you play on the inside that counts!" During mini-golf, after it took her 7-8 tries to make the hole. I think she ended up picking up the ball and just dropping it in.

"You're like 2 souls waiting to mate." Mom in response to a recent development in my personal life.
WHAT??? Nat's and my response to mom. WAITING TO MATE? Mom's comment is even more ironic in the fact that I recently purchased a promise ring and "mating" is not high on my to-do list.
"Oh you know. What's that saying? About 2 ships passing in the night? That's you guys."
Mom does not really mean that we should mate, but we all started laughing so hard, she could not think straight anymore. Plus, it was more fun to keep making her flustered about "mating" than trying to figure out the real saying.

"She said, you look like a gerbil." Mom trying to relate something my sister had said about a recent Facebook photo.

"I miss out on everything in life." Mom bemoaning her less than accurate hearing. Natalie did not say I looked like a gerbil, which prompted a conversation about mom's hearing. Apparently, she has had it checked, and the doctor said it was fine. So, either the doctor was wrong and mom has horrible hearing. Or, the doctor was right, and mom just has a horrible attention span.
